Established between 2018–2025, the Prerana Community Center focuses on holistic development for children and communities in Pune and Satara districts. Serving over 300 students and 1,200 villagers, the center provides education, nutrition, health awareness, and life skills training. It operates as a hub for learning, community engagement, and social empowerment, particularly for marginalized and tribal populations.
The center offers supplementary education for school-going children, vocational guidance for youth, and workshops on hygiene, nutrition, and environmental conservation. Special attention is given to adolescent girls, ensuring they have access to leadership opportunities, mentorship, and safe spaces to express themselves. The community center also engages parents and local stakeholders, fostering collective action for education, health, and rights.
Through its initiatives, the center has strengthened school retention, reduced dropout rates, and encouraged active participation in community development. The project demonstrates that integrating education, health, and community engagement creates sustainable impact and empowers communities to lead their development journey.
