Founder
Recognizing the need to build a just and equal society, and to address the deep-rooted social and economic challenges faced by women and children, Prabha founded “Work for Equality”. Her vision is to ensure that every girl has access to education, health, and opportunities for empowerment, while nurturing the skills and leadership potential that will shape stronger generations ahead.
It is with deep purpose and quiet pride that we welcome you to Work for Equality—a movement born not from ambition, but from a belief: that every girl, every child, deserves dignity, equal opportunity, and the courage and freedom to dream.
Our journey began with lived realities. Growing up, we saw how gender discrimination, child marriages, and lack of access to education silently took away the futures of countless girls. These moments didn’t just leave an impact—they shaped a commitment: to build spaces where girls are heard, valued, and empowered to claim their rightful place in society.
At Work for Equality, we do not see girls as victims of circumstances—we see them as powerful agents of change. Over the years, thousands of adolescent girls have come together through our clubs—safe spaces where they learn to speak up, challenge injustice, and make informed decisions about their lives and futures.
Alongside communities, we have taken meaningful steps—preventing child marriages, enabling access to education, promoting menstrual health, and raising awareness around environmental responsibility, including river conservation. Each step, no matter how small, has proven one thing: real change begins when courage meets collective action.
This journey has never been walked alone. It is strengthened by the resilience of the girls, the trust of families, the support of communities, and the belief of our partners—donors, CSR foundations, and well-wishers. Your support doesn’t just sustain us—it expands the path toward equality.
As a founder, the vision is clear: a world where girls are not confined by tradition or discrimination, but are free to believe, lead , and learn. Because empowering one girl is never just about one life—it uplifts generations. It breaks cycles of silence, inequality, and limitation.
We invite you to be a part of this journey. Together, let us stand against injustice, nurture leadership, and build communities where equality is not an aspiration—but a lived reality.
With gratitude and hope.
